This breed was developed in Scotland with the main aim of herding cattle. The possible ancestors of the breed are the Poland Lowland Sheepdog and the Komondor. These creatures are very smart and independent; they could be left alone without shepherd. The bearded collie dog is a very cute puppy and isn't normally found in a rescue situation for long.
